Conclusion f=2.5

The bokeh is awesome, I like the vigneting, but it can easyly be atenuate in post pruduction.

You need chirurgical focusing, you have no room for error, this is nearly impossible to focus if subject move.

It is prone to CA in some case.

Which aperture is needed to have good sharpness across the frame ?

 Let see on this picture and extreme left corner at f=4 - 5.6 - 8 & 11

100% LEFT CORNER

100% CENTER at f=4 just to show how good it is, same at f=8..

I think 5.6 is far accepteble for corners, and who look at extreme corners anyway ?
But wider aperture is prone to CA, so I prefer to stick to f8 most of the time.

CONCLUSION

Well I am not neutral, old canon FD lens are my favorite one, there are the most I use and I want to use.
This lens is cheap and very good, if you like the retro feel of Canon get one now !
